'It was NOT comfortable AT ALL! Emotionally I AM DESTROYED!' | Pep Guardiola | Man City 3-0 Bayern

Press conference with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola following their 3-0 Champions League quarter-final first-leg match against Bayern Munich

He praises his side for a great result but says there’s more to be done in Munich, talks about the performance of his defensive players – particularly Ruben Dias, what he expects from Bayern in the second-leg, what pleases him most about the performance, talks about the decision to take off Kevin De Bruyne, Haaland’s all round play which saw him make an assist for Bernardo’s goal, jokes that the game may have appeared comfortable but it’s emotionally destroyed him, says he feels that they have been ‘special’ at the Etihad this season, talks about the chances Bayern created – saying on another day the game could have been much closer if his defensive players hadn’t have been so focussed, the versatile role Bernardo Silva played in the game especially in a defensive capacity.

The biggest threat when facing City is you never know what or who you are going up against. Pep is so dynamic and unpredictable you simply cannot plot against him and just have to take it as it comes

This guy, i am not a fan of his bcoz he always manages a rival team to the teams i am fan of, but definetely he's the best football manager ever, in this press conference he's warning his players that the tie is not over yet, and imposing on the media subconsiously not to over hype the result yet showing respect to the opponent, so he doesn't fuel any desire for revenge, brilliant, the guy he's a genius

This game at best would have been 1-0, were it not for Upamecano having a crazy day and help out the city to get two more goals…!!!…It is hard to imagine how Bayern can come back from three goals deficit.

Pep does not need to coach this team….a monkey can manage this team lol….the BEST 11 players in the world….I want to see PEP take over a 2nd division team….and buy NO players…and let's see if he can implement his system? I already know the answer….PEP's system relies on having THE BEST players in the world…so, PEP…NOBODY will ever give you credit for anything, you managed Barcelona, Bayern Munich and then bought the TOP players for man-city lol….get a baboon to manage CITY…and save LOTS of money lol

Bayern are horrible since after the WC, they had a few good games, but even against PSG they weren't nearly as good as before. The coach swap two weeks before the city game also didn't help, there's no time for Tuchel to really change something. They should've kicked Kahn & Salihamidzic instead of Nagelsmann and let him finish this season.
Normally i would say Bayern still has a chance, but knowing their form and all the off the pitch drama, they gonna lose again in their homestadion.

This , for an hour or so, was an exceptionally tough game for City, because auite frankly Bayern were dominatingfor large parts of the match … they also created chances which required smart stops from Ederson ….. even with Rodris brilliant strike we were struggling to stop Bayern playing.

But Bayern imploded in that last 20 minutes, and we clinically took a couple of chances that could make all the difference to us progressing in this tie or not.

It's not gonna be easy in Munich, they will chuck everything but the kitchen sink at us , but we have this lead and we need to make sure that we make the most of it …… well done City, every player shone for us last night.

I congratulate every single player, coach and staff on City. Well done. Great game and effort from everyone. This is top level football and it doesn't get any better for the fans. Thank you!
