You’ve lost a subscriber. You really are naive if you think Pep was outdone tactically here. You’re seeing things in such a 2 dimensional manner that you can’t see that Bayern were tricked by Pep. Those that really know what they’re talking about are saying this was a Pep masterclass which leaves me wondering if you’re a Bayern / Man United fan or somehow just too young to understand what you have just seen?
Jurgen Klopp recently had adopted the same method as Guardiola. Can you make a video for us of the Liver and Nottingham match?
My God I thank you very much for ur lectures on Teams tactics, u taught me what I can’t get from University.
what is the software you are using? for the tacticts?
honestly ik jesus knows they lost the title and even zinchenko knows it because they played in city and know when they are in form especially this late in the season it impossible to stope and keep up
Arsenal will give City a game. Arsenal did that but didn't take there chances. Now they have players back like Jesus and others will really cause City problems
Lol pep wasn't interested in this Leg, so dont mind it
And Bayern did not make "mistakes". City forced those mistakes in the first leg. Crap crap crap.
You are usually objective but not when it involves Chelsea or Tuchel. Your analysis is laden with subjective nonsense.
The City press from KdB and Haaland was designed to be mild. They were less aggressive because City wanted to conserve energy and lure Bayern into positions that would allow for the counter. On the other end, City wanted to build up slowly to cause Bayern to tire out from pressing and playing aggressively. It was easy to tell. Rodri tended to over dribble and pass sideways more in this game than the first leg. It was by design. Ederson was kicking the ball to the left side of the field and not flinching because it was a time wasting tactic.
Pep wanted to snuff out the tie by taking any motivation from Bayern.
The same way everyone claims Upemencano's mistakes helped City, Bayern also created their clear cnnaves the same way. But when City does it it is just a mistake and when it is Bayern it was by design. What nonsense.
Even after the penalty miss it was still very easy for City to get into scoring positions but City did not want to exert that much energy in a game they had won by the first leg.
You guys tend to overanalyse everything.
Really a very good analysis video. I particularly like the depth of the analysis, such as at 2:34
Bayern need a focal point up front. They looked like Chelsea going forward. Lucas Hernandez is a key player they were also missing. Ederson was really key for Man City in both games making crucial saves.
of course they were going to be more dominant they had to score three goals, city didn´t even had to worry about scoring goals and even then they had a penalty and scored one goal. bayern couldn't do shit in their own home☠
Man City players were tired, it was visible
Alternative title; How pep neutralized tuchel in a tie that was already over
Pep will be disappointed 😂😂
Once again spot on analysis. This game just shows that Tuchel is really a tactician. But Pep's team was stronger and withheld. I also like that Pep respected him in this one
Here for the "massive, gaping hole."
Put away your chances, they needed a 9 and maybe don’t change coaches before a huge tie.
As for the Madrid game Pep will Make only one change to this current formation
Ederson
Walker Stones Dias Ake
KDB Rodri Gundo
Bernado Haaland Grealish
Bernado and Walker will double up on Vini on that right Wing meanwhile Ake and Grealish will do well against I believe Rodrigo, Or Anceloti will go with Valverde on the right Wing, Either way I can't see City losing to Madrid either tie.
Wrong Title "Bayern make City Shaky" No way taking into consideration of the first Leg City didn't need to go toe to toe with Bayern instead Pep told them players to defend well and hit Bayern on the counter which resulted in City Goal, Was happy with City approach to the game, The aim was not to outscore Bayern at their crip but to make sure they don't concede too many Goals and in the end it paid off.
If it was not offside and Halland missing Penalty had they gone in city's favor it would have been 3-1 or 2-1 at the least.. City were not moving forward they were just soaking pressure
Tuchel is world class but in the first leg opamacano cost Bayern Munich the game with simple mistakes
they did not dominate because city played that way by choice
City weren't interested in scoring or dominating the game. It was painfully obvious.
Why is Musiala playing instead of muller. This man was throwing!!!
hi i have a question i have once but how do u like make the 11 vs 11 circle thingy with the names on top of them
please respond
For real. Both mathes weren't city "Pep football" and Bayern did very well. Bayern make too many mistakes and don't have a good stiker this year, wich can make the difference. … At the end City absolutely deserved the win because they defended very well. … I think Pep isn't entirely happy with the performance, but he doesn't have to prove anything anymore and deserves the CL this year.
No, I didn’t enjoy the video.. you completely ignored the fact that city didn’t have to do much in the second leg after killing off the tie in the first leg.. Didn’t you listen to Bernardo’s interview after the game?
You are forgetting that city played that game with no intention to do anything serious.
You can't come to Munich and bench Muller and then expects to win.
What a load of nonsense
Dominate? Receiving 4 goals ? And don't say it ,Tuchel "better" than Guardiola? Like Cristiano "better" than Messi, right?😅😅😅😅
Sane really let the team down all of the best chances came to him and he wasted all
if you claim that city purposely didnt push forward to save energy for their upcoming games, that's absolute nonsense and a completely surface level assumption. the only thing i will give is that pep was not pressured to play differently this game because of the first leg score, and thus they played the exact same way for the second leg and gave bayern the initiative to make changes to their gameplan to try and score 3 goals on city.
there are only two real differences between city and bayern because otherwise, they were relatively even.
the first was how clinical their forwards were (and upamecano being completely suffocated in both legs and making massive errors). even in bayern's psg game, you could see how they dominated psg's midfield but were unable to score against psg at all despite all that domination.
the second was how comfortable each team was conceding possession to defend. bernardo came out for an interview after the game and talked about their mentality shift this year in how they realized that they COULDN'T (not didn't want to) dominated possession all the time against top teams so they had to be comfortable defending.
but for bayern, you can see in their bundesliga matches how some teams approach them. one of the key differences between bundesliga games and champions league games is the amount of respect champions league teams give to bayern (and the players look a bit sharper in the ucl generally too). bundesliga teams have learnt to push high up against bayern to try and suffocate them, which usually leads to a complete beatdown by a counter-attacking bayern in full stride or an "unexpected" draw and loss. do this enough times, and you will start chipping points off bayern. even in the ucl, a young barca side undergoing a rebuild gave them a lot of problems in the first match they faced each other just because of the intensity and little respect they gave to bayern's midfield, but otherwise they simply cruised through every other game. against psg, psg's press was non-existent and the midfield was happy to let bayern have the ball, so the defense was never pressured the entire game. they ended up pressuring the psg defense like city did to them and almost forced them to make mistakes that costed them the tie.
Have to say I don’t find that “Football Made Simple” actually makes football simple in the slightest. So many statements in your videos amount to “A led to B” without any convincing or intuitive explanations, so I’m usually left thinking A could have also led to C,D,E….
In this video, you ignore game state – that City were sitting on a 3 goal cushion from the first leg – and after Haaland scored to kill off the tie, Haaland was subbed off and City practically stopped trying to score, which would have depressed xG. You ignore this and claim the xG differential is evidence that Tuchel somehow outsmarted Pep.
TIFO and 442 do much better jobs of explaining tactics.
Imagine Akanji against Vini Junior. Pep would really need to rethink about this
For Pep to bench Walker on both legs but knowing Bayern has Coman and Sane who are very fast is questionable. Akanji is slow and Ake is also not fast. But it worked out because Akanji is more comfortable on the ball and City needed that. Walker would've been a pressing target from Bayern as he's not that good on the ball
for me it looked like the game went like city wanted. city defense looked quite good imo. also bayeren need a better st
City's mistake last time out was allowing their opponents to score more than 1 goal in the away legs or even at home. Now they know it's better to hit them hard then defend with your life and you'll get through. A play from Reals book
This video doesn't need to be mad..Pep say back and made sure not to throw the game. Legit different game if it was tied up.
Haaland allows City to play more defensively in UCL cup ties – agreed Bayern were better at creating chances – but both legs feels like City's quality of player made the difference – Rodri goal, Dias defending, Ake defending first leg – Haaland was poor last night but he took his final chance really well. Pep being more practical and trusting defenders and Ederson was a big success in this 2nd leg, bump Pep up to 6.5 or 7.0. Now need to do it at the Bernebeau.
City needs fast players to counter fast wingers. We saw Coman, Davies and Choupo_Moting outrunning Ake, Akanji and Stones.
Bayern was the clear dominant in this game regardless of ‘strategy’ for the upcoming Arsenal game and ‘soaking up the pressure’. Pep changed nothing and still had an offensive tactic. If you saw the game you can clearly tell that City defenders fumbled a lot in this game compared to last game, where they played their hearts out and Bayern had it perfect. Except… Upamecano :S
Bayern lack offensive consistency in finishing, which is something Bayern had suffered this year. City was lucky not to lose and the draw fits well with what both teams delivered. City werent able to do much and Bayern were really bad in finishing anything.
This is football and to win you need to score a goal.
Bayern got consolation penalty. That should not given
Your title is wrong tuchel didn't did anything 😂😂😂😂
I think man city conserving energy for Arsenal and FA cup semi finals soo they jst let bayern Play and jst counter them ……..🤔🤔🤔
Ancelotti may become the nutcracker
the funny thing is they still lost 4-1 and that 1 is also a questionable penalty… tactically, city did not go there to dominate or even win the game, they went there just to pass the ball as compared to the first leg where they just bodied Bayern… and that's my analysis
Base on the game I watched, city was not as aggressive on their pressing as usual. I do think that Pep had anticipated that they would be pressed much more and opted to be more defensive and seek to beat Bayern on the counter.
