Bayern Munich 0-2 Arsenal

Bayern Munich had an impressive display at the Emirates Stadium in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League clash with Arsenal. The second leg would not be as impressive as the Gunners scored two goals. Unfortunately for the English side, it would not be enough as Bayern go through to the last 8.

No, Rick was just speaking of the Bayern lineup like it was the greatest thing ever made on that day, when in reality, like 4-5 were usually bench players.

I'm not a fan of the away goal, but I understand its has some logic behind it, so I won't bash it too hard. What I do strongly disagree with is what happened in the Spurs/Inter match. Spurs had an extra 30 minutes to score an away goal in ET after Inter came back. Inter only had 90 mins to score an important away goal in the 1st leg. I don't like it, goals should be even in ET, away goal rule shouldn't apply then.

I agree, I wish they divided this sports section and brought someone with some passion for "futbol" for Champions League commentary. I watched 6 of the 8 games and can name at least most starters and I don't consider myself a sport expert. Although I have been watching TYT even before they had TYT Sports and I am telling you, this section have improved a lot!

Fuck Robben. Horrible form after last year of Gomez + Robbery.
On the aggregate score, Arsenal fucking suck anyway.
And Rick made it seem like nothing, but the starting lineup for Bayern wasn't what it is at it's best. The way Robben played showed why the fuck he is on the bench…
Also, no Ribery or Schweinsteiger, Kroos had an offgame…

Hello Rick 🙂 I'm iffy about the away goal rule :/ Darn you, UEFA, with your strict rules!!! If I may, why isn't there a summary about my beloved Barça vs. Milan match? Awwww, to the way you pronounced Malaga.

The away goal rule i think is pretty good…. becasue it is harder to score at opponents ground than your own ground… and also because most of the fans are the home fans giving more motivation for the own palyers.

I am (and have always had) split thoughts on the away goal rule. A LOT of people underestimate the power of home advantage, the prime example here being Barca. See how bad they played on Milans bad quality pitch (with pro standars, Milan has a pretty bad pitch) compared to their own pitch and large field where they totally dominated Milan. If there would be no away goal rule, playing at home in the 2nd leg is a huuuuuge advantage, getting to play extra time with your home supporters.

Lol, love that u cant show videos of highlights , but manage to almost show it through the stuttering frames thing. Suck it UEFA . And about the away goals rule, i dont see , whats so confusing about it. its the fairest possible way to judge a winner over 2 legs.Considering the home field advantage that teams have, and thus away goals being more difficult to score, it makes sense that away goals count more, in the case of the match being tied on aggregate.
