    Some comparisons:

    2019-20
    Liverpool

    Van Dijk
    League
Only 2 clean sheets in 13 games v
    Sheffield Utd
    Burnley

    CL
    0 clean sheets
    8 goals scored against
    Genk
    Napoli
    Salzburg

Van Dijk should not win the Ballon D’Or.

When was the last time you would put a defender as the Ballon D’Or winner? Cannavaro

Think about it? What is so special about Van Dijk?
Yeh, he’s a top player and yeh he won the Champions League? But to win the actual Ballon D’Or?!

Pique and Dani Alves won the Treble…..where were they in the Ballon D’Or that year?!

Van Dijk had a top season in the Champions League….but actually he didn’t do too well against Messi in the first leg.

The Champions League doesn’t show a player’s consistency over the whole season and it is a competition whereby all the ‘big teams’ get through the group stage. So in fact, to win the CL, you have 3 teams to beat to reach the final…..

Furthermore , Van Dijk didn’t win anything domestically…AGAIN, for another season. How can you give a player, and a defender at that, the Ballon D’Or?

Pique won the Treble, where was he in the Ballon D’Or that year?

    What about Ronaldo?
In the year that Juve won the domestic double and got to the CL final, the highest any Juve player got in that year’s Ballon D’Or was 15th place. (?!)

How can you even have Ronaldo or Mbappe in the top 5? However, this year they’re contemplating putting someone, Ronaldo, in the top 3 for just winning the Seria A title and was only 5th Top goalscorer in Seria A and whose start to the 2019 season had been poor.

The same can be said of Mbappe, someone who just won the league, and the French league at that,. He’s another one who has started the 2019 season poorly.

So what did these footballers win last season continuing on to the current season of 2019-20?

What the following won last season 2018-19….

That's what you get when your overrated manager doesn't want to be there. Eriksen has checked out. And Aurier is an embarrassment. Pochettino needs to go. He won't win anything anyway.
